The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting is committed to supporting Scouts of all ages be an active and visible part of a parish's comprehensive youth ministry strategy. For help with chartering a BSA unit, American Heritage Girls Troop or for information about how to support a Girl Scout Troop, please contact Kyle Holtgrave at (217) 698-8500 x. 154. Committee meetings resume in August 2021 on the 4th Sunday of the month at 4:00 PM at the Catholic Pastoral Center, 1615 West Washington Street, Springfield unless otherwise noted.

 

Catholic Chartered BSA Units in the diocese:

 

  • 2014: 57 units, 1251 youth members, 537 adult members
  • 2015: 59 units, 1569 youth members, 595 adult members
  • 2016: 57 units, 1492 youth members, 601 adult members
  • 2017: 53 units, 1340 youth members, 521 adult members
  • 2018: 47 units, 961 youth members, 437 adult members
  • 2019: 45 units, 1016 youth members, 375 adult members
  • 2020: 38 units, 812 youth members, 358 adult members
